UT Cricket Association, Chandigarh defeated Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association by a huge margin of 176 runs and entered the final of the 5th Rama Atre Memorial Women's Cricket Tournament organized by JP Atre Memorial Cricket Society. Which was played today at Chandigarh Cricket Institute Ground, Kaimbwala. Kumari Shibi of UTCA, Chandigarh took 3 wickets and was declared player of the match. After winning the toss and electing to bat first, UT Cricket Association, Chandigarh scored 254 runs for 7 wickets in 50 overs. Openers Nikita Nain and Deepti Walia made a strong partnership of 97 runs.
Nikita Nain scored a brilliant 56 runs, Suman Rajput scored 54 runs, Monica Pandey scored 54 runs. 51 runs and Deepti Walia scored 41 runs. In bowling, Vanshika Thakur took two wickets from HPCA, Anahita Singh and Dhanya Laxmi Sharma both took 11 wicket. In reply, HPCA scored 78 runs for 9 wickets in 29.5 overs.
In bowling for UTCA, Anahita Singh scored the highest 21 runs, Chandigarh bowlers Kumar Sibbi and Monica Bishnoi both took 3 wickets each, Priyanka took 2 wickets and Arshbunny Kaur took 1 wicket. In the second match of the day played at Mahajan Cricket Ground, Chandigarh, Delhi District Cricket Association defeated J&K Cricket Association by 74 runs and entered the final.
DDCA's Suniti Soni (3 wickets and 11 runs) was declared the player of the match. .DDCA, batting first, scored 179 runs for 8 wickets in 50 overs. Sonakshi D scored 47 runs, Purva Siwach scored 29 runs, Sachi Grover scored 28 runs while Kashish scored 17 not out. In bowling, J&K bowlers Sandhya and Jamila Shubham both took 2 wickets each, while Chitra Singh Jamwal took 1 wicket.
In reply, J&K Cricket Association was all out for 105 runs in 33.5 overs. Bowling for DDCA, Sanjana scored 29 runs, Bisma scored 23 runs and Bhawan Deep Kaur scored 18 runs. Suniti Soni took 3 wickets, Medhavi Bidhuri took 2 wickets and Ragni took 1 wicket. The final match will be played tomorrow at Mahajan Cricket Ground, Chandigarh between UT Cricket Association, Chandigarh and Delhi District Cricket Association at 9 am followed by the prize distribution ceremony at 3 pm.
