Suradha Rani Under15 Cricket Tournament: Four teams reached semifinals, league stage played with pomp and show


Chandigarh. Chandigarh Cricket Nursery, Nagesh Cricket Academy, CL Champs Cricket Academy, Panchkula and Lakshya School of Cricket Academy, Kalka entered the semifinals of the 2nd Suradha Rani Boys Under15 Cricket Tournament. According to coordinator Dr. Sandeep Arora and organizing secretary Amarjeet Kumar, both the semifinals will be played tomorrow at TDL Cricket Stadium, Panchkula. The Grand Final will be played on 24th October at TDL Cricket Stadium, Panchkula only. According to coordinator Dr. Sandeep Arora, the first semifinal match will be played tomorrow on 23rd October at TDL Cricket Stadium, Panchkula at 7 am between CL Champs Cricket Academy, Panchkula and Cricket with Nagesh Academy, Peermuchalla. The second semifinal match will be played between Lakshya School of Cricket Academy, Kalka and Chandigarh Cricket Nursery at 12 noon at the same venue.

In today's first league match, Lakshya School of Cricket Academy, Kalka defeated Cricket with Nagesh Academy, Peermuchalla by 8 wickets. Karthik Rana (105 not out) of Lakshya School of Cricket Academy, Kalka was declared man of the match. Batting first, CWN Academy scored 206 runs at the loss of 7 wickets in 25 overs. Shambhav Sharma scored 83 runs, Anshuman Bakshi scored 31 runs and Yuvraj Singh scored 26 runs. While bowling, Amitesh Thakur and Manshu took 22 wickets. In reply, Lakshya School of Cricket Academy, Kalka achieved the target of 210 runs in 23.4 overs at the loss of 2 wickets. Karthik Rana scored 105 not out, while Vishal Negi scored 81 not out. While bowling, Trijal Goyal took 2 wickets.

In the second league match of the day, Ashok Malhotra Cricket AcademyA, Kolkata defeated Sunrise Cricket Academy, Zirakpur by 16 runs. Sauhardya Das (54 runs) of Ashok Malhotra Cricket AcademyA, Kolkata was declared man of the match. Batting first, AMCAA, Kolkata team was all out after scoring 149 runs in 24.4 overs. Sauhardya Das scored 54 runs, Devansh Mittal scored 23 runs and Kaushik scored 22 runs. From the bowling side, Shubh Raje took 4 wickets, while Mihir Thakur and Karanvir both took 22 wickets. In reply, Sunrise Cricket Academy scored 134 runs at the loss of 5 wickets in 25 overs. Shubh Raje scored 51 runs and Karanvir scored 44 runs.

Batting first in the third league match of the day, CL Champ Cricket Academy, Panchkula scored 125 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in 25 overs. Shivang Yadav scored 37 runs and Ishant Rawat scored 27 runs. From the bowling side, Baljeet Singh and Hitansh Singh took 2 wickets each. In reply, while chasing the target, Chandigarh Cricket Nursery scored 112 runs at the loss of 8 wickets in 25 overs. Abhay Singh Gulia scored 24 runs and Ryan Arora scored 20 runs. From the bowling side, CL Champs bowler Ishant Rawat took 4 wickets and Daksh Nain took 2 wickets. Ishant Rawat was declared man of the match.

In the fourth and last league match of the tournament, Team Liberals defeated Ashok Malhotra Cricket AcademyB, Kolkata team by 17 runs. Batting first, Team Liberals scored 147 runs at the loss of 7 wickets in 25 overs. Ashmit Rana scored 61 runs. From the bowling side, Ayaz Rashid took 2 wickets and Ayman Rashid took 1 wicket. In reply, Ashok Malhotra Cricket AcademyB, Kolkata scored 135 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in 25 overs. Aryan Raj scored 36 runs, Joy Sarkar scored 23 runs, Parth Agarwal scored 19 runs and Bhair Paul scored 14 runs. From the bowling side, Shivam, Yug Kalia, Shivangi Sharma, Akhil, Ashmit Rana and Ayan Arora all took 1 wicket each.
