St. Anne's School won double title thanks to Minerva Academy


Team becomes winner in CBSE North India Cluster Tournament

Chandigarh. Thanks to the excellent training of Minerva Academy and excellent performance of the players, St. Anne's School won the title of CBSE Under17 and Under19 North India Cluster Championship. The team created history by winning both the categories and will now participate in the National Round in Bhopal.

The performance of St. Anne's Under17 team was very strong. The team did not concede a single goal during the entire tournament, which can be gauged from their strength. In their first match, they achieved an impressive 50 win against Ganga International School, with Tenzin Topchin scoring two goals. Karanjit Singh and Satyarth also scored goals for their team. In the quarterfinals they defeated Gurukul 70, in which Revanth scored four goals and Kushagra Iyer and Gaurav Dubey also contributed in the scoring.

In the semifinals the team defeated St. Soldier 90. Kushagra Iyer scored two goals, while Satyarth, Revanth, Karanjit, Tenzin and Rishabh Kulaste also scored. With a 20 win against St. John's School in the final, Satyarth and Kushagra Iyer scored goals to make the team the winner.

Even in Boys Under19, St. Anne's team did not concede a single goal and gave a crushing defeat to its opponents. In the round of 16 they defeated Mukta School 30. Alishan, Mugbe and Romario scored the goals. Alishan, Romario, Mugbe and Chame strengthened their team's lead as they defeated Bhai Mastana School 60 in the quarterfinals.

In the semifinals, City Boys defeated Star Plus 80, with star performances from Alyshan and Romario. Akhilesh Atreya, Chame and Mugbe also scored goals to take the team to the final. In the final, winning 30 against St. Soldier School, two goals from Alishan and one goal from Tennan were decisive in helping the team win the title.

Under17's Revanth was the top scorer of the entire tournament with 7 goals, while under19's Alyshan Ezhung and Romario won the title of top scorer of the cluster event with 5 goals each.

Minerva Academy players left their mark throughout the tournament and proved why they are considered the best players in the country. This victory of Minerva shows their commitment to take Indian football to new heights.
