He won a lot of accolades by winning the gold medal, but this athlete's journey has been full of difficulties. Navdeep, who finished fourth in the Tokyo Paralympics, had only a medal in Paris as his goal. Here he was the only athlete seen in the Indian jersey, but now he has become an example for the whole world including India.
This athlete was taunted for his short height (dwarfism). Troubled by all these challenges, there was a time when he started thinking about committing suicide. But he turned every taunt into motivation and decided to prove himself.
This flight of his got recognition in Paris Paralympics. Especially his aggressive celebration after the throw is on everyone's lips. Not only this, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also mentioned this with him. Along with this, another video also went viral on social media in which Navdeep had asked his coach how many throws he made, when he told, Navdeep said in a very carefree manner 'Khao Maa Kasam'?
Actually, the PM had called all the athletes to his home to honour them. During this Navdeep and the PM met. This athlete gifted a cap to PM Modi. Honouring him, the PM sat down on the ground and asked Navdeep to make him wear the cap. This video went viral on social media.
This victory is the biggest success of Navdeep's life. Apart from all his struggles and family problems, his personality is unique. Many of his interviews have come out which are being appreciated a lot.
