Cricket with Nagesh Academy, Peermuchalla defeated Team Liberals, Chandigarh by 23 runs in the inaugural match of the 2nd Late Surdha Rani Boys Under15 Cricket Tournament played here today at Panchkula and Derabassi. Earlier, Shri Ashok Malhotra, former Indian Test player and Cricket Advisory Member of BCCI Committee inaugurated the tournament.

CWN Academy's Prince Thakur (4 wickets), was declared the man of the match award. Man of the Match Award was also given by Mr. Ashok Malhotra former Indian Test player.

Nagesh Cricket Academy, batting first, scored 176 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in 25 overs. In reply, Team Liberals, Chandigarh scored 153 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in 25 overs and fell short by 23 runs. In the second league match of the day at CL Champs Cricket Academy, Panchkula, Panchkula defeated Sunrise Cricket Academy, Zirakpur by 9 wickets. First Sunrise Cricket Academy, Zirakpur scored 116 runs in 24 overs. In reply, CL Champs Cricket Academy, Panchkula achieved the target of 117 runs in 23.2 overs with the loss of 1 wicket. Rachit Rohila (50 runs and 1 wicket), CL Champs Cricket Academy, Panchkula was declared man of the match.
