Chandigarh. Minerva Academy's glorious legacy of producing India's football stars continues. Four of their talented players – Akash Tirki, Dhanjit Ashangbam, Paramveer and Gagamsar Goyari have been selected to represent the Indian National Team at the prestigious AFC U20 Asian Qualifiers in Laos.
Fresh from their good showing at the SAFF U20 Championship, this talented quartet is now set to make a splash on the international stage. Their impressive skills and achievements have caught the attention of the national team selectors, cementing Minerva Academy's reputation as the nursery of India's footballing future.
A versatile midfielder, Paramveer has already made his mark at the national level, winning the RFDL with RGPFC and finishing third in the Next Gen Cup. He was also a key player in the Under 17 AFC Asian Cup squad.
On the other hand, Akash Tirki is a rising star who made his ILeague debut for Delhi FC this year and was part of the Under 17 AFC Asian Cup squad. Notably, he was also part of the team in a thrilling match against world football giants Real Madrid, which ended in a 33 draw.
Dhanjit Ashangbam brings tactical skills to the national team, having been a key player in the Under 17 AFC Asian Cup squad.
Goal scoring sensation Gagamsar Goyari was the Most Valuable Player of the SAFF U19 Cup after scoring a thrilling last minute winning goal against Pakistan. He also scored his first ILeague goal against the ILeague Champions last season.
