Ranchi. Famous international cricketer Ishan Kishan has been given the captaincy of Jharkhand Ranji team. Jharkhand State Cricket Association (JSCA) on Wednesday announced the squad for the season 202425.
Apart from captain Ishan Kishan, the players who have got a place in this include Virat Singh (vice captain), Kumar Kushagra (wicket keeper), Nazim Siddiqui, Aryaman Sen, Sharandeep Singh, Kumar Suraj, Anukul Roy, Utkarsh Singh, Supriyo Chakraborty, Saurabh The names of Shekhar, Vikas Kumar, Vivekananda Tiwari, Manishi, Ravi Kumar Yadav and Raunak Kumar are included.
Before this, Jharkhand team had also entered the Buchi Babu Tournament under the captaincy of Ishan Kishan. Ranji Trophy is starting from October 11 and Jharkhand's first match is against Assam. The elite group in which Jharkhand is included includes teams from Assam, Railways, Chandigarh, Chhattisgarh, Saurashtra, Delhi and Tamil Nadu.
Ishan Kishan is originally from Bihar, but he has been playing for Jharkhand. On 22 December 2015, he was named as the captain of India's squad for the 2016 Under19 Cricket World Cup. Ishaan is a lefthanded batsman and wicketkeeper.
Ishan Kishan has been a part of the Mumbai Indians team in the 2019 Indian Premier League. Ishan Kishan is not a part of Team India yet. Last time he went on a tour to Africa, where he withdrew from that tour citing mental stress as the reason. After this, he was shown the way out of the central contract list, since then till now he is looking for a way to return to Team India.
