Hyderabad. Resolute Sportsowned Hyderabad Storm is one of the eight franchises in the Hockey India League, scheduled to begin later this year. This franchise, which was announced at the inaugural ceremony organized by Hockey India, will be a part of the Hockey India League.
Alok Sanghi, Director, Resolute Sports said, “We are thrilled to be a part of HIL. Hockey is the national game of our country. With two consecutive Olympic medals won in Tokyo and Paris for the first time since 1972, we believe that hockey in India is returning to its glorious past. We believe that Indian hockey is now ready to take the next step in the longterm development of the game. HIL will provide another opportunity to the youth to hone their skills. I wish everyone the best as we move into the future together as stakeholders!”
In recent years, Resolute Sports has participated in the Prime Volleyball League and finished second with Delhi Toofans last season. This move to HIL not only cements their commitment to sports in general, but also reinforces their objective of improving the sports ecosystem in Hyderabad. Resolute Sports Pvt Ltd is a sports enterprise that aims to revolutionize India's sporting landscape with a holistic ecosystem beyond cricket, based on the principle of teamwork, unity, discipline and flexibility, which not only engages the stakeholders, but also the society at large. But it affects the society.
Alok Sanghi said, “Our first season with the Prime Volleyball League was successful reaching the finals in the inaugural season itself. “We hope to take this mentality to the Hockey India League as well and look forward to an even better performance in our inaugural season with Hyderabad Storm.”
HIL is India's premier domestic competition, featuring worldclass players and coaches. The previous editions of the HIL played a significant role in improving the overall level of the Indian men's hockey team, resulting in India winning Olympic medals in Tokyo and Paris.
