New Delhi . Former India leftarm fast bowler RP Singh said he is hopeful of Australia's bighitting opener Jake FraserMcGurk being retained by Delhi Capitals ahead of the IPL 2025 mega auction.
Delhi Capitals team wants to prepare this young batsman for the future. FraserMcGurk is being seen as David Warner's successor as an opening batsman, as he scored 330 runs with a strike rate of 234.04 for Delhi Capitals during the IPL this year.
Although he did not have a good initial performance for Australia following David Warner's retirement from international cricket, FraserMcGurk bounced back with a halfcentury in the T20 against England, and he reminded everyone of the potential he has. Makes a retention contender for the Capitals.
“FraserMcGurk will definitely remain because of his different playing style and the impact he has had on this franchise,” RP Singh told GeoCinema. Rishabh Pant will be retained as captain. Two spinners, Axar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav, are in the squad. For others, you can use RTM as many franchises release players in hopes of using RTM.”
October 31 is the last date for teams to finalize their retention ahead of the IPL 2025 mega auction. The ten IPL franchises can retain a maximum of six players from their IPL 2024 squad, which includes a maximum of five capped players (Indians and foreigners) and a maximum of two uncapped players.
