West Indies fast bowler Shamar Joseph credited his fellow fast bowler Jaden Seales and said that he has brought a lot of aggression to the team, as Seales bowled out Bangladesh for 164 runs on the second day of the second Test match being played at Sabina Park in Kingston. Joseph and Seales combined for seven wickets, while Kemar Roach took two, as West Indies dominated play on the first day of the match. At stumps, the Windies were 701 in 37 overs, with Casey Carty and Kraigg Brathwaite unbeaten on 19 and 33 respectively.
“He bowls with a lot of aggression. He's the best bowler I've ever seen. I enjoyed watching his spell today. Things don't always go your way,” Joseph said after the end of the day's play. , but it was nice for me to take three wickets today.”
He said, “We always wanted to come here and give our best. We had a few talks with the bowling coach. He told us to stick to our basics as much as possible. For me, I just stick to my plans. I try to bowl as fast and accurately as possible, I always try to bowl a good line and length.”
For Bangladesh, opener Shadman Islam was the only batsman to remain at the crease with 64, while captain Mehdi Hasan Miraz made 36 before being dismissed by Seales. This was his second wicket in the over, before this he had sent Taskin Ahmed to the pavilion for 8 runs.
In the next over, Seales dismissed Nahid Rana for a duck, ending Bangladesh's first innings at 16410 in 71.5 overs.
