Adelaide. Australia has leveled the series 11 by defeating India by 10 wickets in the second Test match of the Border Gavaskar Series. India was all out for 175 runs in the second innings and gave the Kangaroos a target of only 19 runs to win, which the host team achieved without losing any wicket.

India had scored 128 runs at the loss of 5 wickets in its innings on the third day of this daynight test match. India had a bad start on the fourth day and Ravichandran Ashwin, who was playing after scoring 7 runs, was caught out by captain Pat Cummins by Alex Carey. After this, India got the next blow in the form of Harshit Rana, who was caught by Cummins at the hands of Khawaja. Harshit faced 12 balls and could not even open his account.

After this, Nitish Reddy, who was playing some good shots at the other end, also lost his wicket. Pat Cummins ended his aggressive innings of 42 runs by getting caught out by Nathan McSweeney. New player Nitish Reddy hit six fours and one six in 47 balls in his innings. After this, Australia dismissed Mohammad Siraj on the score of 7 runs and reduced India's innings to 175 runs. In this way, India's second innings was all out for 175 runs in 36.5 overs. Australia had a target of 19 runs to win the match. Kangaroos achieved this target in just 3.2 overs without taking any wicket. Nathan McSweeney contributed 10 unbeaten runs off 12 balls and Usman Khawaja contributed 9 runs off 8 balls.

With Australia's brilliant comeback, this series is leveled at 11. India won the first match of this series by 295 runs in Perth. With this, Australia's record of remaining unbeaten in daynight test matches on its soil continues. This is a fivematch series, the third test match of which will be played at Gabba in Brisbane on 14 December.

Talking about the players who performed remarkably in the current daynight test match, the innings of Travis Head proved to be decisive, who scored 140 runs on 141 balls in Australia's first innings. Head has been given the Player of the Match for this innings. Apart from this, Marnus Labuschagne also contributed 64 runs on 126 balls.

Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammad Siraj took four wickets each in the first innings for India. Earlier, India's first innings was all out for only 180 runs. India was given a huge blow in the first innings by Mitchell Starc, who took 6 wickets for 48 runs in 14.1 overs. Apart from this, Cummins and Boland also got two wickets each. The form of its senior players is a matter of concern for India. This time Rohit Sharma returned to the team but he did not score runs in both the innings. The bat of Virat Kohli, who scored a century in the first Test match of the series, also remained silent in both the innings this time.
