Online shopping has become common nowadays. If we want to buy any item, we no longer need to go anywhere for it. Just picked up my phone and ordered online and if I didn't like the product, I canceled the order. If you also order goods online then it is not going to be easy for you. Canceling your order is going to be costly. E-commerce website Flipkart is preparing to charge your cancellation charges for this.
Cancellation charge will be applicable!
According to a report, the country's largest e-commerce company is soon going to impose cancellation charges for some orders. Flipkart is going to change its policy for this. However, this cancellation charge will be levied if an order is canceled within a specific time period. At present, customers can cancel their order after purchasing any product. For this they do not have to pay any extra charge. However, after a few days they will have to pay cancellation charges. This charge will depend on the order value of the product.
A screenshot of Flipkart's internal communication has surfaced, in which the change in policy has been mentioned. It is being said that the company has decided to impose this cancellation charge to compensate the time and cost of the sellers and logistics partners selling goods on its platform. However, this cancellation charge will be levied after the free cancellation window of any product ends.
Decision taken for this reason
Flipkart has not officially given any information regarding the cancellation charge. However, if sources are to be believed, a time limit will be set for the cancellation charge. The company has planned to bring a new policy to avoid fraud and loss to sellers. Apart from Flipkart, this charge can also be imposed on ordering products online on sister company Myntra.
