Why do you put flight mode on mobile before airplane take off, know the real reason – Top News Bulletin

Whenever you travel in a plane, before the flight take off, the air hostess or other flight attendant is asked to switch off the mobile phone or set it in flight mode. If you have traveled by plane, you must have experienced this. Many people are aware of this but there are many people who do not know why this happens. Let us tell you why mobile phones are switched off before the plane takes off.

A pilot shared information on social media about why mobile phones are switched off before plane take off. The pilot on whose behalf this information was shared is known as @perchpoint on social media. The pilot gave detailed information about the flight mode in the plane in his video.

What is flight mode?

Let us tell you that flight mode found in mobile phones or smartphones is a feature in which all the networks coming from towers or satellites get disconnected. As soon as you apply this setting, you will not be able to make any call or message, nor will you be able to receive call-messages. When it comes to disconnecting the network, this mode is used only.

So let's set the phone in flight mode

The pilot said that if you do not set airplane or flight mode on your phone while the plane is flying, it will neither cause the plane to fall out of the sky nor will there be any malfunction in the plane's onboard systems. But there is a possibility that if your phone remains on and it is connected to the network of towers, it may interfere with the radio communication between the pilot and air traffic control.

The pilot said that if there are 100 or 150 people on board a plane, there may be some people whose phones try to connect to the radio towers. Radio waves coming from a smartphone can disturb the radio waves in the pilot's headset or change their direction. This is why passengers are asked to put their mobile phones on flight mode before take off.
