According to a report of 2023, about 3 lakh people have been trapped in the 'Pig Butchering' scam gang, while the gangs associated with the scam steal about 43 billion dollars every year. Meta has been investigating such online scams for the last two years. Meta has banned lakhs of accounts related to this scam. If you want to avoid scams and frauds, then you should avoid getting lured by messages or offers from strangers on social media.
