The company is taking many measures to curb fraud in the name of commercial messages. Meanwhile, TRAI informed that a new framework has been prepared to trace commercial messages which will be of great help in creating a spam free messaging system.
According to TRAI, with the new messaging traceability framework, all major institutions like government agencies, commercial institutions and banks as well as telemarketing companies will have to declare their SMS transmission routes through blockchain based distributed ledger technology. Along with this, companies will have to register for traceability.
There will be no compromise on data privacy
TRAI said that with the chain declaration and binding process, it will be much easier to trace each message end-to-end. TRAI said that with its help there will be no compromise on data privacy and the origin point of the message can be easily tracked without delay in message delivery.
Let us tell you that the first instruction regarding message traceability was issued by TRAI on August 20. On the request of telecom agencies, the company had given time till October 31 to implement it. Later it was extended to 10 December. Now message traceability has been implemented in the country from December 11, but TRAI is continuously trying to make it better and stronger.
