Starlink satellite broadband service is going to be launched in India soon. Elon Musk's company is waiting for the green signal from the telecom regulator. The company may get clearance for this after the completion of satellite broadband spectrum allocation. Apart from Elon Musk's company, along with Airtel OneWeb and Jio Satcom, Amazon Kuiper is also in the race to launch satellite broadband service in India. Satellite broadband service may start in India early next year.
Superfast connectivity even in flight
Elon Musk has shared a 2-minute video from his official X handle. In this video, it is claimed that online games are being played inside the flight using Starlink's broadband connectivity, which shows that Starlink will provide superfast connectivity in flight as well. In his post, Musk has written that Starlink is so good that you can play real-time video games even in flight.
No lagging of any kind is seen in the video shared by Elon Musk. In such a situation, users will not face any problem in taking video calls or holding online meetings even in flight. It is being claimed in Starlink Broadband that internet can be accessed at the speed of 250Mbps to 300Mbps, which is equal to the current wired broadband.
When will Starlink enter India?
Elon Musk's company Starlink can start its satellite broadband service in India early next year. However, the path of Starlink is not going to be so easy in India. According to a report recently, Starlink has not yet completed the regulatory compliance, due to which it has not received the NoC to start the service in India. At the same time, Airtel and Jio have received NoC from the Department of Telecommunications. These companies are only waiting for spectrum allocation.
