Airtel has reduced the validity of one of its cheap recharge plans, due to which crores of users of the telecom company may be disappointed. In this plan, users got the benefit of unlimited free calling, data and free SMS with long validity. Along with reducing the validity of this plan, Airtel has also launched a new plan. After the tariff hike in July, telecom companies have discontinued many of their plans, while revising the validity of many plans.
Reduction in validity of the plan
Airtel had a similar recharge plan of Rs 489 before July, which offered a validity of 84 days. This plan was especially for those users who had more than one SIM card or used the phone only for calling. The company has now reduced the validity of this plan to 77 days, that is, users will now get 7 days less validity than before.
In Airtel's revised Rs 489 plan, users will get the benefit of unlimited free calling on any network across the country for 77 days. Apart from this, users will be given the benefit of free national roaming and a total of 600 free SMS. Talking about other benefits available in this plan, users will be given the benefit of a total of 6GB high speed data.

After revising this plan, the company has now introduced a new recharge plan of Rs 509. In this plan, users get a total validity of 84 days. This recharge plan of Airtel comes with benefits like unlimited free calling, free national roaming on any network across the country. In this plan, users get the benefit of 100 free SMS daily. Also, one gets the benefit of 6GB high speed data.
Talking about other news in the telecom sector, TRAI has amended the telecom tariff order and instructed telecom companies to launch only voice and SMS plans. This decision of TRAI is for those 30 crore feature phone users who are forced to take expensive plans with data. Apart from this, users having two SIM cards will also get the benefit of this new guideline.
