There has been a tremendous increase in the number of 5G users in India. In 2022, the number of 5G users was only 10 million i.e. 1 crore. At the same time, now this number has increased to 180 million i.e. 18 crores. The main reason for this has been the aggressive 5G rollout of Reliance Jio and Airtel. India has become the fastest country in the world to roll out 5G service. 5G service has reached 98 percent of the districts of the country. However, telecom companies are yet to roll out 5G service on a large scale.
5G users increased rapidly
According to the new report of TRAI, the number of mobile users in the country has crossed 120 crores. At the same time, there has been a tremendous increase in the number of internet users. Reliance Jio has once again established its dominance. According to the new report of TRAI, there has been a huge increase in the number of 5G users of the country's largest telecom company. The number of Jio's 5G users has crossed 130 million to 147 million.
Jio's profits increased
Despite private telecom companies making mobile tariffs expensive in July, the number of Jio 5G users has not decreased. However, in the last quarter, 10 million i.e. 1 crore users have left Jio's network. Due to expensive mobile tariffs, there has been a decline in the number of users using Jio's number as a secondary SIM. However, the average revenue per user (ARPU) of the company has now increased from Rs 181.7 to Rs 195.1, due to which the net profit of the telecom company has also increased to Rs 6,536 crore.
You will get good 5G service
The company was already aware of the decline in user base due to increase in mobile tariffs. The company said that there has not been much loss due to the fall in userbase. The company's entire focus is to provide the best 5G network. Homes can be connected through improved fixed wireless access service (FWA). There has been considerable improvement in the company's performance and ARPU.
