Apple has exported iPhones worth about 6 billion dollars from India. The company aims to export iPhones worth $10 billion made in India.

Apple is focusing on India due to the government's Make in India policy and the country's technology capabilities including local subsidies, skilled workforce. iPhone manufacturing in India is being done on the outskirts of Chennai. Currently Foxconn is the largest supplier of iPhone in India. At the same time, Tata Group's electronics manufacturing unit has exported iPhones worth $1.7 billion to Karnataka from April to September.
After the launch of iPhone 16, Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said in his official X post that it has been made in India, which has been possible due to the Make in India program of the Central Government. Due to expanding manufacturing of iPhone in India, employment opportunities are also increasing here. Currently, Apple is assembling iPhone SE, iPhone 11, iPhone 12, iPhone 13, iPhone 14, iPhone 15 and iPhone 16 models in India.
