Geyser blast in Winter: Winter season has started and hot water is used extensively to avoid cold. Geysers are used to heat water in most of the houses. Geyser helps us a lot in protecting us from cold but if there is even a little carelessness then it can also lead to death. Recently, a shocking case of geyser explosion has come to light in which the bride lost her life due to geyser blast on the 5th day of the wedding.
In the winter season, hot water is used for everything from bathing to washing clothes and utensils. Geysers heat water instantly within a few minutes, hence they are used more. But, if care is not taken while using the geyser, it can lead to a major incident.
Bride died on 5th day of marriage
Recently a heart-wrenching incident of geyser blast took place in Bareilly district of Uttar Pradesh. Here the newly married woman died due to geyser burst while bathing. The woman who died in the geyser blast had come to her in-laws' house only 5 days before her marriage. After the geyser blast, the woman was taken to the hospital where she died.
If you also use a geyser to escape the cold, then you should use it very carefully. Although there is no rocket science required to use geyser, but a little carelessness on our part can lead to a major incident. Therefore, some things should be kept in mind while buying and using the geyser.
Never make this mistake while using geyser
- If you are going to buy a geyser, then do not buy a geyser from a local company to save money. Quality and features are often compromised in cheap geysers.
- Never leave the geyser running for long. Left on for a long time, it may overheat and cause an explosion.
- Let us tell you that a valve is provided in the geyser to release the pressure. If there is any fault in the valve then the possibility of blast and leakage increases. Therefore, keep checking it from time to time.
- If your geyser is old then you must get its thermostat checked. In fact, if the thermostat is faulty or weak, the geyser cannot estimate how much water to heat. Due to continuous heating the pressure increases and at one point it bursts.
- The most important thing is to never use a geyser while bathing. Nowadays geysers come with heavy water capacity, hence it would be better to heat and store the water before taking bath and turn off the geyser.
