Design of iPhone 17 Air becomes a headache for Apple, it may be banned in this country – Top News Bulletin

Apple's thinnest iPhone 17 Air (iPhone 17 Slim) to be launched next year may be banned. The design of this phone can become a big headache for Apple. This thinnest iPhone of Apple can be banned in China. According to recent reports, Apple will launch iPhone 17 Air along with regular iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max next year. The company can replace its Plus model with Air or Slim.

design becomes headache

The company is going to make a big change in the design of this thinnest iPhone of Apple. The thickness of the upcoming iPhone will be so thin that there will be no provision to install a physical SIM card in it. The company can offer the option of two eSIM cards in iPhone 17 Air. To make the phone thinner, its hardware will also be changed. According to China's telecom rules, it is mandatory to have a physical SIM card in any phone. In such a situation, this iPhone can be banned in China.

China has been as important a market for Apple as India. China alone contributes 19 percent to global iPhone sales. In such a situation, iPhone customers may decrease by 19 percent, due to which Apple may suffer huge revenue loss. The thickness of iPhone 17 Air is likely to be between 5 to 6 millimeters. In such a situation, it is difficult to make space for a physical SIM card slot in it.

This work will have to be done to launch in China

According to the report, to launch iPhone 17 Air in the Chinese market, the company will have to redesign it or create a unique hybrid model. Apart from this, Apple is developing an in-house 5G model for its upcoming iPhone 17 series, which has proved to be weak compared to the performance of the existing Qualcomm chips. iPhone 17 series can be launched in September next year. Now it remains to be seen whether it gets regulatory certificate from China or not. However, there is no problem in launching it in India. All three leading telecom companies of India provide eSIM cards, due to which users will not have any problem in buying the phone.
