BSNL is going to launch its 4G service commercially this year. Besides, the company is also preparing for 5G service. Taking another step in this direction, the government telecom company has completed the work of installing more than 65 thousand 4G mobile towers in the country. BSNL has given this information through its official X handle. The company aims to install 1 lakh 4G mobile towers, so that users can get the benefit of better network connectivity. Also, the company is phasing out its 3G service so that 4G/5G towers can be installed.
You will get better connectivity
BSNL has confirmed through its official X handle that more than 65,000 4G mobile towers have now gone live across the country. In its post, the telecom company said that users will now get better connectivity and network coverage. The government telecom company will commercially launch 4G service across the country this year. Apart from this, the company is also testing 5G network. BSNL has partnered with Tata for 5G network.
BSNL has started phasing out 3G network across India. Along with upgrading its 3G mobile towers to 4G, the government telecom company is also installing new mobile towers. Recently the company has phased out 3G service in Bihar Telecom Service. Apart from this, 3G service is being stopped in many other telecom circles. Users will now get 4G connectivity instead of 3G. Users who have not upgraded their SIM card to 4G can get a new SIM free of cost from the nearest telecom exchange or customer service center.
Due to better network connectivity, users of private telecom companies will shift to BSNL, which will benefit crores of mobile users in the country. The recharge plans of the government telecom company are much cheaper than Jio, Airtel and Vi, due to which the users will not have to spend much on their pockets. Last year, BSNL MD had confirmed that the company will not increase its mobile tariff right now. In such a situation, users will start getting better connectivity at a lower price.
