If you use iPhone or any Apple device then there is useful news for you. Actually, an alert has been issued by the Government of India for iPhone users. The Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-IN) of the Government of India has also issued warnings for iPhones as well as iOS, iPadOS, MacOS, Vision OS as well as SafariOS.
CERT-IN issued warning
If you are using devices like iPhone, Macbook then you should be alerted. According to CERT-IN, at present there is a threat of cyber attack on many Apple devices, hence there is a need to be careful. If you ignore the warning of CERT-IN, it can cause huge loss to you.
CERT-In has advised iPhone and other Apple users to immediately update their devices to the latest software to avoid cyber attacks. According to CERT-In, some flaws have been found on iPhones and some other Apple devices. Because of this, cyber criminals can easily get access to your phone and steal your personal data.
Big threat to these OS versions
The versions of Apple devices for which the alert has been issued by CERT-In include versions of Apple iOS and iPadOS before 18.1.1 and 17.7.2, and versions of macOS before 15.1.1. Apart from this, the agency has also issued a warning for the first version of Vision OS 2.1.1. An alert has been issued by CERT for version 18.1.1 of Safari.
If your Apple devices are running on the operating systems mentioned above then you need to be alert. These versions can put your personal data at risk. The agency has advised to immediately update the devices running on OS of any such version.
