A big decision has been taken by tech giant Apple. Apple has banned the sale of iPhone 14 as well as 3 iPhones in 3 countries. Apple has banned the sale of iPhones in most countries of Europe. The iPhones whose sale has been banned include iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus and iPhone SE 3rd generation. The company has removed them from its online store present in most countries of Europe.
This decision of Apple has been taken not only for online stores but also for offline stores. This means customers will no longer be able to buy iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus and iPhone SE 3rd generation even from offline retail shops. Apple had to take such a decision due to a European Union rule. This EU regulation concerns lighting connectors.
EU's decision became a big reason
Let us tell you that in 2022, it was decided by the EU that phones and some other gadgets sold in the markets of its 27 countries must have a USB-Type-C port for charging. Such a decision was taken by the EU to reduce the ever increasing electronic waste. This decision was challenged by the tech giant but later Apple withdrew its steps. iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus and iPhone SE 3rd generation do not have USB-C port for charging, so now the company has banned their sale.
Sales of iPhones stopped in these countries
Let us tell you that due to such rules, Apple is busy removing its old stock from many countries. The company has removed these iPhones from its stores in Austria, Finland, Belgium, Denmark, Germany, France, Italy, Ireland, Netherlands, Sweden and many other countries. The surprising thing is that Switzerland is not a part of Europe, yet all three iPhones have been banned here too. Along with this, these iPhones will no longer be available in Northern Ireland also.
