Millet must be used in winter. Millet keeps the body warm. Millet flour roti, millet khichdi and millet malaida are widely prepared in people's homes. But have you eaten millet pua? Millet pua has special significance on Makar Sankranti. These are made by adding jaggery and sesame seeds to millet flour. Some people also call them Bajra Tikki or Bajra Tikki. Recipe for making millet pua
First step- To make millet pua, sift millet flour. Take flour as per your convenience. To make pua, break the jaggery into pieces and soak them in hot water. Note that do not add too much water to the jaggery.
Second step- Now lightly roast some white sesame seeds and add it to the millet flour. You can grind the sesame seeds coarsely or mix them as is. We are telling you the recipe for adding sesame seeds without grinding them. You can also add grated coconut for a little flavor.
Third step- Now add the jaggery solution and knead a slightly stiff dough. You do not have to make the dough too thin. Now leave the dough like this for 5 minutes. Heat oil or ghee in a pan. Now take a roti-sized ball from the flour and make it as big as the palm of your hand.
Fifth step- Bajra Pua is ready, you can call it Bajra Tikki or Bajra Tikki. These taste very tasty to eat. You can easily eat these for 15 days. Children also like this pua very much. You can make these and take them while travelling.
