Sabudana Khichdi Recipe
First step- To make Sabudana Khichdi delicious, you need to do the washing and soaking steps with utmost care. First of all, to make Khichdi, take medium side sago. Now put the sago in a bowl and wash it by rubbing it with hands 2-3 times.
Second step- Now soak the sago in water for about 5-6 hours or overnight. You just have to keep as much water as your finger nail after the sago has soaked. That means the sago should sink and very little water remains on top. By soaking in this way, all the water in the sago will dry up by morning. Cover the sago and soak it.
Third step- Now add 1 spoon desi ghee in a pan and fry peanuts in it. Take out the peanuts and add 1 tablespoon more ghee or oil to the pan. Add cumin seeds to it then add chopped green chillies, onion, potatoes and mix. If you are making it for fasting then do not add onion. Add salt and let it fry.
Fifth step- Pour juice of half lemon on top and add finely chopped coriander. Add roasted peanuts while serving and eat it for breakfast. If you want, add 8-10 raisins to it to give it a light sour and sweet taste. Delicious and vibrant Sabudana Khichdi is ready.
