The festive season has started. Now different types of dishes are prepared every day from Dhanteras to Diwali. Many types of sweets are available in homes. In such a situation, prepare white and yellow dishes and sweets at home on the day of Dhanteras. Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Kuber are worshiped on the day of Dhanteras. Dhanvantari is also worshiped on this day. Offerings also have importance in the worship of Dhanteras. Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Kuber like white kheer or sweets, whereas yellow colored sweets are offered to Lord Dhanvantari. Make yellow colored gram flour barfi at home and offer it to God on Dhanteras.
Ingredients to make gram flour barfi:
To make gram flour barfi, you need 3 cups gram flour, ¼ cup desi ghee, ¼ cup milk, 1 cup ghee, ½ cup milk, 1½ cups sugar, half cup water, some mawa, cardamom powder, chopped pistachios.
Recipe to make gram flour barfi:
First step: To make the gram flour granular, mix ¼ cup ghee and ¼ cup milk in the gram flour and mix while crumbling it lightly. Now you have to rub the gram flour until it becomes granular and then filter the gram flour through a sieve with coarse holes. To roast gram flour, place a pan on the gas and add 1 cup of ghee. Add prepared gram flour in it and fry it.
Second step: You have to keep frying the gram flour until it turns golden brown. When the gram flour is roasted, ghee will start coming out from the sides. Now add half cup milk in gram flour. When the mixture becomes foamy, the barfi will become grainy. Cook the gram flour until the milk dries up and then take out the prepared mixture.
Fourth step: Now keep it to set for about 4-5 hours. You can also keep it in the fridge or any cool place. When it gets set, cut it into the shape of barfi. Garnish it with sugar or your favorite dry fruits. Delicious gram flour barfi is ready. Offer it as bhog to God on the day of Dhanteras.
