Ingredients to make Pea Nimona
One and a half cup fresh peeled peas, 1 potato cut into pieces, 1 tomato, half inch ginger, half onion, 4-5 cloves of garlic, half teaspoon garam masala, half teaspoon vegetable masala, half teaspoon turmeric, some green coriander and green chilli. 1 teaspoon cumin, 1 pinch asafoetida, 1 bay leaf and salt as per taste. Mustard oil for making Nimona.
Recipe to make Pea Nimona
First step- First of all, peel the peas and cut the potatoes. Also chop tomato, onion, ginger and garlic. Chop green coriander. Grind onion, ginger, garlic and green chilli and make a paste. Put peas in a mixer and grind them coarsely.
Second step- Take out the peas in a plate and grind the tomatoes to make a paste. Now put oil in a pan and heat it. Add asafoetida and cumin seeds in it. Add bay leaves and onion, ginger and garlic paste. Grind the spices and then add tomatoes and fry everything well.
Fourth step- You can make the pea paste as thick or thin as you like. When the potatoes become soft and the peas are completely cooked, then understand that Nimona is ready. Now add finely chopped coriander to Nimona.
