Ingredients for Karela Bhujia:

3 to 4 bitter gourd, 2 spoons oil, 2 onions, salt

How to make bitter gourd bhujia?

  • First step: To make bitter gourd bhujiya, first cut the bitter gourd into rounds. All the seeds of bitter gourd have to be removed and kept aside. When the bitter gourd is cut, keep it in a big bowl. Now add one spoon salt in this bowl and cover it and keep it for half an hour.

  • Second step: After the stipulated time, remove the lid from the bowl. The bitter gourd may have released water due to the addition of salt. Now squeeze the bitter gourd well and keep it in another vessel. Now wash the bitter gourd thoroughly with water.

  • Third step: Now turn on the gas and place the pan on it. Put oil in the pan and when the oil becomes hot, add finely chopped onion into it. When onion becomes golden then mix bitter gourd in it. Now fry the bitter gourd on low flame and keep it covered. When the bitter gourd is cooked well, add salt and turn off the gas. Your bitter gourd bhujiya is ready.
