On 18 September 2016, 4 terrorists of Jaish-e-Mohammed entered the Indian Army camp in Uri and started firing indiscriminately. The tents of sleeping soldiers were set on fire. This attack was carried out in ambush, so the soldiers did not get a chance to escape. 18 Indian soldiers were martyred in this attack. After this, the special forces present there killed all four terrorists.
