Elections for the assembly elections 2024 have been completed in both the states of Maharashtra and Jharkhand. Elections were held in a single phase on November 20 for a total of 288 assembly seats in Maharashtra. At the same time, voting was held in two phases on 13 and 20 November for a total of 81 assembly seats in Jharkhand. Now the election results of both the states are coming out on 23 November. Amidst the trends of election results, Jalebis are being served at the headquarters of Bharatiya Janata Party in Delhi.
Between whom is the competition?
The main contest in the assembly elections in Maharashtra is between 'Mahayuti', an alliance of BJP, Shiv Shiv Sena and NCP, and Mahavikas Aghadi of Congress, Shiv Sena (UBT) and NCP (Sharad Chandra Pawar). Both the alliances are claiming their respective victory in the elections. Some other parties including Raj Thackeray's MNS and Prakash Ambedkar's Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi are also in the fray. On the other hand, the main contest in Jharkhand is between the grand alliance of JMM, Congress, RJD and the NDA, an alliance of other parties including BJP, AJSU.
What is the condition of the trend?
The results of Maharashtra and Jharkhand Assembly elections 2024 have started coming out. In the trends revealed till 9.30 am, Mahayuti is leading in Maharashtra and Mahavikas Aghadi is lagging behind. In the initial trends, BJP+ has got majority in Maharashtra. At the same time, in Jharkhand, JMM+ has got majority in the trends.
