A MiG-29 fighter plane has crashed near Agra in Uttar Pradesh. The pilot and two people saved their lives by jumping out of the plane. The aircraft had taken off from Adampur in Punjab and was heading to Agra for practice when the incident occurred. Air Force officials said that a court of inquiry will be ordered to investigate this accident. At present, detailed information is awaited to find out the cause of the incident.

Air Force issued statement
“An IAF MiG-29 aircraft today crashed near Agra due to a system failure during a routine training flight. The pilot took care to ensure no loss of life or property on the ground,” the Indian Air Force said in a statement. Turned the aircraft around before exiting to safety.” An investigation has been ordered by the Indian Air Force to find out the cause of the accident.
The MiG-29, NATO name 'Fulcrum' and Indian name 'Baz', is an air superiority fighter jet manufactured in Soviet Russia. It was formally inducted into the Indian Air Force in 1987. They have a relatively safe track record. Reports say that this fighter jet was an upgraded version of the MiG-29 UPG. This is the second MiG-29 crash in two months. Earlier in September, a MiG-29 had developed a technical snag and crashed in Barmer, Rajasthan, during a routine night flight. The pilot had ejected safely.
