Tirupati Balaji Temple: After becoming the new Chairman of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam Board i.e. TTD Board, BR Naidu has issued a new order. Naidu said on Thursday that all the people working at Tirumala, the abode of Lord Venkateswara, should be Hindus. He said that all the people working in the temple premises should be Hindus, this will be my first effort. Naidu said that there are many issues in this and we will have to look into it. He said that Tirupati is a religious place, hence any officer who is non-Hindu will be removed from there.
'Decision will be taken soon regarding employees belonging to other religions'
Naidu, a devotee of Lord Venkateswara, said that a decision will soon be taken regarding employees belonging to other religions whether to give them VRS or to transfer them. Naidu said he considered it a privilege to be appointed as the Chairman of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams Board. He thanked Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu for giving him the responsibility of leading the board. BR Naidu alleged that many irregularities took place in Tirumala during the previous YSR Congress government. He said that the sanctity of the temple should be maintained.
Asaduddin Owaisi reacted to Naidu's statement
AIMIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi has given a strong reaction to this order of TTD Board Chairman BR Naidu. By posting on social media, Owaisi targeted the proposed Waqf law of Modi government in the name of new chairman of TTD. He wrote, 'The Chairman of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam says that only Hindus should work in Tirumala. But Modi government wants to make it mandatory to have non-Muslims in Waqf Board and Waqf Council. Most Hindu endowment laws insist that only Hindus should be its members. The rule that is right for one should be right for the other too, right?'
