Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reached Chandigarh for a program. An exhibition was organized by Chandigarh Police regarding the three new criminal laws. PM Modi said, 'There was a deep brainstorming on the challenges faced by the justice system in the seven decades of independence. I am confident that this Judicial Code of India, made with everyone's cooperation, will prove to be a milestone. People thought that now that the British had gone, they would also be free from English laws. Those laws were the means of oppression and exploitation of the British.
The country is moving forward with the resolve of a developed India.
PM Modi said that at a time when the country is moving forward with the resolve of a developed India. When it has been 75 years of the Constitution, it is a big thing that the influence of 'Indian Judicial Code' inspired by the spirit of the Constitution has started. This is a concrete effort towards fulfilling the ideals envisioned by our Constitution for the citizens of the country.
People were in jail because of old laws
PM Modi said that after the implementation of the Indian Justice Code, thousands of prisoners who were lodged in jails due to old laws have been released from jails. You can imagine what a new law can do to empower civil rights.
