Train Accident: Mysore-Darbhanga Bagmati Express became victim of an accident in Tiruvallur, Tamil Nadu. 19 people were injured in this accident. As soon as the news of the accident was received, relief and rescue work was started on the spot. In Delhi, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav himself reached the war room and started monitoring the relief and rescue. On the other hand, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin has expressed grief over the incident. He said that the government is carrying out rapid relief and rescue operations.

The Railway Board has said that no passenger has been reported killed in the collision between an express train and a goods train in the Ponneri-Kavarapettai section of Chennai Railway Division. In this accident, the train crew is safe and a fire broke out in one compartment, which was extinguished by fire engines. Railways said that the movement of trains has been stopped in the affected part of the railway route. Railways is trying to normalize rail operations on the affected route as soon as possible.
