Tourists had to pay a heavy price for showing the tiger up close, 2 guides and 2 drivers got heavy punishment – Top News Bulletin


Pilibhit: During the safari in Pilibhit Tiger Reserve i.e. PTR of Uttar Pradesh, 2 guides and 2 drivers did something due to which they got severe punishment. According to reports, the guides and drivers have been suspended for violating rules and showing the tiger up close to the tourists. Giving information about this, the officials said that both have been suspended for 15 days. He said that the incident happened on Wednesday when the driver had gone very close to the tiger with the vehicle. He said that going so close to the tiger was a violation of rules, and that is why action has been taken against him.

'Ma'am, safari vehicles were passing through the range'

Officials said the alleged video of the incident had gone viral on social media. After the video surfaced, Sanctuary Deputy Director Manish Singh had sought a report from Mahod Range Regional Forest Officer Sahendra Yadav. Deputy Director Manish Singh said, 'The report found the matter to be true, after which two nature guides and two safari drivers were suspended for 15 days on Thursday.' Singh said that on Wednesday some safari vehicles carrying tourists were passing through the Mahod range, when they saw the tiger there. Soon, other safari vehicles also reached the spot and surrounded the tiger, he said.

PTR is home to many endangered species

Officials said that after the tiger was cornered, tourists took photographs and recorded videos. According to him, the drivers of the vehicles had gone too close to the tiger, which is a violation of the rules. Let us tell you that the total number of tigers in PTR is said to be more than 70. Located on the India-Nepal border, PTR is spread across Pilibhit and Shahjahanpur districts of Uttar Pradesh. Many rivers flow inside this tiger reserve. These include Chuka, Mala and Khannaut rivers. PTR is one of the 50 tiger reserve projects of India. It is home to many rare and endangered species including the Bengal tiger, Indian leopard, swamp deer and Bengal florican etc.
