'Told him he was going to watch a movie', car collides with bus, 5 MBBS students killed – Top News Bulletin


Alappuzha: Five medical students, who were out for a night trip by car in Kerala's Alappuzha district, died tragically in a horrific road accident. After this incident, there is mourning among his family and friends. The parents, who spoke to the students shortly before the accident, and their other hostel mates looked inconsolable. One of the students who died in the accident had told his friend that he was going to watch a movie.

Had rented car on Monday night

According to reports, the first-year MBBS student at Vandanam Government Medical College in Alappuzha was traveling in a rented car on Monday night. Meanwhile, five students died tragically when their car suddenly collided with a Kerala State Road Transport Corporation or KSRTC bus. Six other people were seriously injured in this horrific accident. The deceased have been identified as Mohammed Abdul Jabbar of Kannur, Mohammed Ibrahim of Lakshadweep, Devanandan of Malappuram, Ayush Shaji of Alappuzha and Srideep of Palakkad.

'3 students died on the spot'

CCTV footage shows that a speeding car collides with a passenger bus on a rainy night and crashes. Local people said that 3 students died on the spot. Police said that the car was completely damaged due to the collision and it was cut and the students in it were taken out. He said that the passengers traveling in the bus suffered minor injuries. An MBBS student said that one of the deceased was his roommate and he had told him the previous night that he was going to watch a movie.

CM Pinarayi Vijayan expressed grief over the incident

A relative of another victim said they got the news through a TV channel. He said, 'The parents of the victim student are in Indore. They were informed about the accident on Monday itself and are coming here. At the home of Palakkad native Srideep, his emotional father was seen sitting speechless with his face covered. On getting information about the incident, one of his teachers, who reached Srideep's house, said, 'That was my boy. He was a very talented student. I taught him in school for 4 years.'' Meanwhile, CM Pinarayi Vijayan expressed grief over the death of the students and termed it as an 'extremely tragic incident'. (Language)
