The effect of snowfall and strong winds in the mountains is being seen in Delhi. Along with the cleanliness of the air here, the cold has also increased. There are chances of fog here in the coming days. Snowfall has started in the mountains. In such a situation, there is every possibility of cold increasing in North and Central India in the coming days. The minimum temperature remained below zero degrees at most places in Kashmir. However, cold is not being felt yet in the southern parts of the country. The maximum temperature recorded in Mumbai on Wednesday was 37.3 degrees Celsius, which was the hottest day of December in the last 16 years. The impact of Cyclone Fangal is still being seen in the south-eastern states. Because of this it is raining in many areas.
People of Delhi have got relief due to strong winds in North India. Delhi's air has become much better than before and has now come in the moderate category. Due to the blowing of winds, the pollution particles dispersed and moved away. An official of the India Meteorological Department, i.e. IMD, said that strong winds are expected in the city from Wednesday to December 7. He said that after this a new western disturbance is expected, due to which moderate fog will start appearing from December 8.

According to the Meteorological Department, the day temperature was recorded at 28 degrees Celsius, 3 degrees more than normal with clear air. The minimum temperature in the city was recorded at 12.5 degrees Celsius, which is 2.5 degrees more than the season's average and the humidity level during the day ranged between 66 to 44 percent. The Meteorological Department has predicted foggy conditions on Thursday and the maximum temperature is likely to be around 26 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature will be around 10 degrees Celsius.

16 year record broken in Mumbai
Wednesday (December 4) was the hottest day of December in Mumbai in the last 16 years. According to India Meteorological Department (IMD), Mumbai's maximum temperature was recorded at 37.3 degrees Celsius on Wednesday. The Santa Cruz Observatory, which monitors the temperature in the suburbs, said the maximum temperature in Mumbai was recorded at 37.3 degrees Celsius, while the Colaba Meteorological Center recorded 35 degrees Celsius. IMD Mumbai scientist Sushma Nair said that Kalina Observatory had recorded the temperature of Mumbai at 37.7 degrees Celsius on December 5, 2008. He said that last week on November 29, Mumbai's minimum temperature was recorded at 16.5 degrees Celsius, which was the lowest temperature in November in the last eight years. (Input- PTI language)
