New Delhi: The Meteorological Department has issued a warning of torrential rain today in many states of the country including Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. According to the department, there is a possibility of heavy rain in 10 states from October 12 to 16. Yellow alert has been issued for heavy rains in Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Goa, Maharashtra, Arunachal Pradesh and Gujarat today i.e. on October 12.

Torrential rains in Tamil Nadu

According to the latest information, it is raining in many areas of Tamil Nadu on Saturday morning. The regional meteorological department said that there is a possibility of heavy rain at isolated places in Thanjavur, Pudukkottai and Erode districts of Tamil Nadu today. Situations like water logging and floods can occur here.

There will be light to moderate rain here

There will be light rain in these states

Light to moderate rain will occur over Assam and Meghalaya during the next 2 days. There is a possibility of rain in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura. There will be light rain in Andaman and Nicobar Islands on October 13.



According to the Meteorological Department report, the southwest monsoon may depart from Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and parts of Maharashtra, Bihar and Jharkhand within 1 or 2 days. There is no possibility of rain in these places now. At the same time, light fog is also being seen in many places of UP in the morning. Light cold is also being felt in the early morning in the states including Delhi-NCR.

The sky is predicted to remain clear in Delhi till October 16. The maximum temperature in the national capital is expected to be around 35 degrees Celsius while the minimum temperature is expected to be around 22 degrees Celsius. According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), the AQI was recorded in the moderate category. Pollution levels may increase in Delhi by the end of October.
