Tirupati laddu controversy case will be investigated, Andhra Pradesh government formed SIT – Top News Bulletin


Amravati: Controversy is still going on regarding Prasad in Tirupati Balaji temple of Andhra Pradesh. Meanwhile, the Andhra Pradesh government has constituted a nine-member Special Investigation Team (SIT) to investigate the case of adulteration of laddus offered in the temple of Lord Venkateswara. Let us tell you that Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu had recently made allegations of adulteration in Prasad. He had said that the previous Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) government in the state did not even spare Sri Venkateswara Temple and substandard ingredients and animal fat were used to make laddus. Due to those allegations, a big controversy arose in the country and the sentiments of crores of Hindus were hurt.

Best Tripathi will lead SIT

“As part of its commitment to protect the sanctity of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD), the Andhra Pradesh government has constituted a SIT to conduct a detailed and comprehensive investigation into the entire matter,” Chief Secretary Nirabh Kumar Prasad said in an order issued late Thursday night. TTD is the official custodian of Lord Venkateswara Temple in Tirupati. The Chief Minister had announced on September 22 that the SIT would investigate the allegations of adulteration in laddus. The SIT is headed by Guntur range Inspector General of Police (IG) Sarvesh Tripathi and other police officers.

YSRCP leaders demanded

Meanwhile, YSRCP leaders said that it is not enough to get the allegations investigated by an agency that reports to the Chief Minister. YSRCP leaders demanded an investigation into the matter under the supervision of the Supreme Court. Earlier, former Additional Advocate General P Sudhakar Reddy had said that the allegations related to laddu will be investigated by CM N. The agency working under Chandrababu Naidu should not.
