New Delhi: In the Welcome area of south-east Delhi, the ruckus over distribution of pizza grew so much that a woman was shot by her relative. Giving information about this on Thursday, the police said that the person who allegedly shot the woman after an argument was her sister-in-law's brother. Police said that four people have been arrested in connection with the incident that took place on Wednesday night and the investigation into the matter is ongoing.
'Zeeshan had brought pizza for the entire family'
A senior police officer said that the matter came to light when Seelampur police station received information from GTB Hospital that a woman named Sadma had been admitted to the hospital with bullet injuries. He said, 'Initial investigation revealed that Zeeshan, brother of the victim's husband, had brought pizza for the entire family on Wednesday. He gave pizza to all the family members including his younger brother Javed's wife Sadma.
'The woman called the brothers after a fight'
The police officer said that Zeeshan's wife Saadia had a dispute with Sadma and she did not like that her husband also gave pizza to her sister-in-law. He told that there was a huge fight between the three on this very issue. The officer said, 'At night, Saadia called her four brothers – Muntahir, Tafseer, Shahzad and Gulrez – to her house in Welcome area. His brothers had a fight with his in-laws and during this Muntahir fired a bullet, which hit Sadma.
'Sadam shot in stomach, condition stable'
The police officer said that Sadma was shot in the stomach and is being treated at GTB Hospital. He said that Sadma's condition is said to be stable. Police officer said that Muntahir, Tafseer, Shahzad and Gulrez have been arrested from the spot and investigation is being done in the matter. He said, 'We are investigating the matter from all aspects. We are recording the statements of the family members and the investigation is ongoing. (Language)
