Therefore, the Government of India has decided to recall the High Commissioner and other targeted diplomats and officials.
The Ministry of External Affairs said the Canadian Charge d'Affaires was called by Secretary (East) this evening. In such a situation, the Ambassador in charge of Canada was told that India has the right to take further steps in response to the Trudeau government's support to extremism against India.
The Ministry of External Affairs said, PM Trudeau made certain allegations in September 2023 and the Government of Canada has not shared even a shred of evidence with the Government of India since then, despite multiple requests from our side.
