Chandan Kumar told officials that he had to stay in Rourkela as he could not get a direct train to Ranchi. However, he did not give any valid answer for carrying such a large quantity of silver. GST Department Deputy Commissioner Jagdish Chandra Saha said that Chandan Kumar had purchased 51 kg of silver in Agra and presented some bills for it, but many irregularities were found in these bills. Additionally, he purchased 10 kg more silver in Rourkela, but did not produce any bill for the same.
