Andhra Pradesh Director General of Police has said that the SIT investigation into Tirupati laddu adulteration case has been temporarily postponed. This has been done because the matter is under consideration of the Supreme Court. Let us tell you that Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu had recently made allegations of adulteration in Prasad. A nine-member Special Investigation Team (SIT) was formed to investigate the case.
Investigation postponed till October 3
As per the instructions of Andhra Pradesh DGP Dwaraka Tirumala Rao, the SIT probing the Tirupati Laddu Prasadam adulteration case has temporarily suspended its investigation till October 3. This decision has been taken due to the ongoing hearing in the Supreme Court.
Statements of people were recorded in TTD
Andhra Pradesh DGP Dwaraka Tirumala Rao has said that a petition has been filed in the Supreme Court regarding the formation of SIT. There was a debate for this in the court yesterday. Our team came under the leadership of IG who visited various places of TTD, procurement area, sample collection area and they examined people and recorded statements. DGP said that the Supreme Court has asked to stop for some time, hence following the order of the Supreme Court, we have put a stop to the investigation for some time.
