New York: Congress leader Rajeev Shukla has criticized him for repeatedly unnecessarily raising the issue of Kashmir from the UN platform. While addressing the United Nations, Shukla said that Pakistan's delegation keeps raising the issue of Kashmir unnecessarily and keeps spreading falsehoods whereas the ground reality is very different. The Congress leader said that there was record voting in the recently concluded free and fair assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir. Shukla also expressed his views on the importance of information in the United Nations and India's role in it.
'Ground reality cannot change'
Criticizing Pakistan, Rajeev Shukla said in the United Nations, 'Pakistan's delegation has once again used this forum to spread lies and fake news. Spreading wrong and fake news has become a habit of this delegation which also includes this forum. I want to say one thing clearly that real democratic countries work differently. The people of Jammu and Kashmir voted in record numbers in the recently concluded free and fair elections. No matter how much fake news is spread, the ground reality cannot change.
Shukla gave advice to Pakistan
Giving advice to the Pakistani delegation, Shukla said, 'I would like to ask this delegation to use this platform to participate more constructively instead of pursuing its divisive political agenda.' Rajiv Shukla said that India will continue to support the United Nations in the campaign against fake information. Let us tell you that Pakistan keeps raising the issue of Kashmir on the UN platform from time to time and it has been getting continuous response from India. However, Pakistan still does not desist from its habit.
