Mumbai: Congress leader Raj Babbar has reacted to UP CM Yogi Adityanath's statement of 'If we divide, we will cut'. Raj Babbar said, 'My birthplace is Uttar Pradesh and two-thirds of my life has been spent in Maharashtra. I am not with that culture which is dividing and cutting their own land. We know what is the culture of Uttar Pradesh and what is the tradition of Maharashtra.
What else did Raj Babbar say?
Raj Babbar said, 'I have come from UP and have brought the mentality and thinking of UP which gave tilak to Shivaji Maharaj and Sambhaji. I come here from that culture. I am not from a culture that is dividing and cutting up its land.
Raj Babbar said, 'I am a resident of near Mathura. I was born in Agra. For Shivaji Maharaj, Mathura and Banaras are the places where Shambhaji was brought here to do Tilak. Those who were great scholars at that time, applied tilak on him. We know what is the culture of UP and what is the tradition of Maharashtra.
CM Yogi's slogan in discussion
After all, why has Yogi Adityanath created a stir in the opposition with his slogan? The simple answer to this could be the recently concluded assembly elections in Haryana. This slogan of Yogi definitely created a stir in Haryana and contributed to BJP winning a lost battle. When Yogi raised the issues of Soren government's corruption, protection to mafia, love jihad, land jihad and Bangladeshi infiltrators in his recent election rallies in Jharkhand, the public supported him. But the biggest applause in these meetings was on the slogan 'If you divide, you will be cut'. Political experts believe that seeing the reaction of people on this slogan has created a stir in the opposition.
