On this occasion, the Prime Minister appealed to the people to participate in the cleanliness campaign. He said that I urge all of you to become a part of the campaign related to cleanliness around you today. This initiative of yours will further strengthen the spirit of 'Clean India'.

PM addressed 'Swachhata Hi Seva 2024' program

In the program 'Swachhta Hi Seva 2024', Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the dream of India which was seen by Gandhiji and the great personalities of the country, let us all together fulfill that dream. Today gives us this inspiration. Today, on 2nd October, I am filled with a sense of duty and equally emotional. Today the journey of Swachh Bharat Mission has reached the milestone of 10 years.

In the program, Prime Minister Modi said that in the last fortnight, crores of people across the country have participated in 'Swachhta Hi Seva' programs. I have been informed that more than 27 lakh programs were organized across the country in the 15 days of 'Seva Pakhwada'. In which more than 28 crore people participated. Only by continuous efforts can we make our India clean. I express my gratitude to every Indian.

Addressing the program, PM Modi said that today at this important milestone, projects worth about Rs 10 thousand crores related to cleanliness have also been started. Under Mission Amrit, water and sewage treatment plants will be built in many cities of the country. Be it the work related to Namami Gange or the Gobardhan plant that produces biogas from waste, this work will take the Swachh Bharat Mission to a new height. The more successful the Swachh Bharat Mission is, the brighter our country will shine. PM Modi praised all the people including sanitation workers, religious leaders, athletes, celebrities, NGOs who participated in the cleanliness mission.
