Chennai: A shocking case has come to light from Chennai. Here, a patient's relative has fatally attacked a doctor in a government hospital. The attacker Vignesh has been arrested in this case. The condition of Dr. Balaji, who was injured in the attack, remains critical.
What is the whole matter?
This morning, a patient's attendant stabbed the doctor 7 times with a knife on the neck of Kalainjar Centenary Super Specialty Hospital located in Guindy area of Chennai. Police said that the attacker Vignesh and one of his associates have been arrested.
The doctor who was attacked has been identified as Dr. Balaji Jagannath. He has been admitted to the ICU and his condition is said to be critical. According to the police, the suspect, identified as Vignesh of Perungalathur, took an outpatient entry pass and entered the oncology department around 10:30 am, where Dr Balaji Jagannath was on duty. There were some other people along with accused Vignesh.
Vignesh's mother Prema is suffering from cancer and Vignesh has a heated argument with the doctor regarding her treatment. They blamed the doctor for Prema's critical condition. After some argument, Vignesh got angry and took out a knife and stabbed the doctor on his neck. People nearby immediately came to help the doctor and took him to the ICU, private security personnel are deployed inside the hospital, while police are deployed on the outskirts.
