Parliament session likely to proceed peacefully from today, SP and TMC may raise this issue in the House – Top News Bulletin

New Delhi: The Parliament session, which has been witnessing uproar for a week, is expected to proceed peacefully from today. In the meeting with Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla on Monday, the opposition parties and the government had agreed to conduct the Parliament session without any uproar. Therefore, on Tuesday i.e. today both the sessions of Parliament can run without any interruption. During this period, debates can be seen between the ruling party and the opposition.

Constitution will be discussed in the House

Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju said after Speaker Om Birla's meeting with House leaders of various parties that the Lower House will discuss the Constitution on December 13 and 14 and the Upper House on December 16 and 17. The opposition parties had demanded a discussion in both houses of Parliament on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution by the Constituent Assembly.

Opposition can raise any issue as per rules

Asked about other issues being raised by the opposition like Sambhal violence and unrest in Manipur, Rijiju said Speaker Birla has made it clear that any issue can be raised as per the rules, while he has asked the parties to take action in Parliament. It has been requested to allow it to run smoothly.

SP and TMC can raise this issue

Sources said the Samajwadi Party may be allowed to raise the Sambhal issue and the TMC may be allowed to raise the incidents that happened in Bangladesh after the Sheikh Hasina government came to power. The proceedings of Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha have been continuously adjourned since the winter session began on November 25 due to vigorous opposition protests over issues like Sambhal violence and Manipur unrest. Congress has been continuously raising the issue of US prosecutors indicting Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani and other company officials on bribery and fraud charges.
