The Andhra Pradesh government has notified a new liquor policy in the state on Monday. According to the new liquor policy, the government has now given permission to private retailers to sell liquor. Let us tell you that this decision has been taken on the lines of many other states including Haryana. The Andhra Pradesh government led by CM Chandrababu Naidu has taken this decision with the aim of privatizing the retail sale of liquor.
Expected to earn Rs 5,500 crore
Andhra Pradesh government is expected to earn around Rs 5,500 crore with the help of the new liquor policy. Taking the basis of the policy issued in other states, many major comprehensive changes have been made in the new liquor policy in Andhra Pradesh. From this the government is expected to earn more than before.
The new policy will be effective from this date
In the notification issued by the Andhra Pradesh government, it has been said that the new liquor sale policy in the state will come into effect from October 12, 2024. Under the new policy, the state government has notified a total of 3,736 retail outlets across Andhra Pradesh for the sale of liquor. (input language)
